May Athlete of the month
Congratulations to our Athlete of the Month Aubri! Aubri finished the CrossFit Online Qualifier in 31st place, after completing five WODs over four days. While this is an impressive finish, what has been even more impressive to watch is her work ethic. Aubri is incredible coachable, often works out alone in the evening after putting in a full day at school and track practice, rain or shine and completes everything with a smile on her face.
Aubri is 100% committed to her academics and nutrition. She meal preps every weekend focusing on getting 18 servings of fruits and vegetables every day. She is also part of four events on her high school track team: shot put, discus, 4x100, and 100
If you could have a magical power, what would it be
I would like to be able to fly so I could get places faster.
Who is the person at CFW who most inspires you to push harder?
Everyone at CFW helps to move me forward in someway or another.
What genre of music do you prefer during the WOD?
My favorite genre to listen to during a WOD is Heavy Metal especially Disturbed or Metallica.
Which super hero do you most identify with?
The Hulk because it was my nickname at gymnastics.
If you could eliminate one movement from CrossFit, which one would it be?
I would eliminate wall balls from CrossFit.
What is your biggest accomplishment since starting CrossFit?
My biggest accomplishment since starting CrossFit would be placing 1st for the CanWest Qualifier and making it to the CrossFit Games Age Group Qualifier.
What is some advice you'd give to someone new to CrossFit?
Be consistent and have fun. Don’t be scared by the heavy weights or movements. Work hard and you will get there eventually.
My spirit animal would be an ant because ants are small but strong and powerful. They are hardworking and persistent they are also goal focused.
